Plans and elevations were my main responsibility in the project. We moved the hallway and trashroom, which gave us access to all the windows of the fasade. This increased the natural light into the space, which we didn’t want to block. Instead, we created a hallway with windows, bridging both light and communication across what would otherwise be a very domintating divider.

Section 1. Showcases the two separate spaces separated by the main hallway. On the left, the larger room which houses the workareas, while the right holds the material reserve and the macinery.
Section 2 Showcases the shelving system with the library and recycling. On the right, a big pinboard and a collaboration area is by the entrance to the model reserve.
Section 3. The main hallway, both separating and bridging the two rooms. The windows lets the natural light through the space. Acoustic panels cover the wall under the window, improving the soundscape in the hallway covered in mostly hard materials.
Section 4. Thanks to our change in layout, there is a full wall ow windows which lets in much needed natrual light into the space. The wall of 3D machines makes it easy to create custom pieces for models.
