Campus Ullevål
I was fortunate to follow this large project from the beginning of my internship until the end, getting a look at different aspects of a project.
For this project I participated in creating floor plans, designing 3D visuals, presentations, color and material choices as well as creating a digital and physical display of the final design manual that we created for the client.
With the elements as the basis of the architecture of the building, we chose to continue the theme onto the interior spaces of the building. Here I will present some of the elements created and show the process of the project.
The building has two atriums that the office spaces encircles.
Design Manual
One of our tasks in this project was to create a design manual for Campus Ullevål. This would preserve the general interior style of the building, especially the atriums, while allowing the individual companies some freedom for the look of their offices. We continued to follow the concept from the architect, using the 4 elements to inspire our choices. Originally the different elements were intended to color the different zones, but eventually the decision landed on allowing more choice to the tennants, but impose a general base palette. Like this, the social zones and activity based zones could be more personalized, while the overall feel of the building remained consistent.
The base palette for the building is inspired by Fire.
